Halifax, Nova Scotia 2014
I traveled to the Carl Orff Canada 2014 Conference for five days of music and fun. I love it when I can sit and listen to musicians playing so beautifully that tears come to my eyes. The next day more tears came to my eyes when we visited picturesque Peggy's Cove and the freezing temperatures and winds off the North Atlantic brought on the tears. I never realized that Halifax was the closest city to the site of the 1912 sinking of R.M.S. Titanic. The memorial service was held in St Paul's Anglican Church in Halifax [built in 1750]. Wonderful history lessons.
